Some of the greatest works of human civilizations are recognized through their architectural legacies. Over the many centuries, different kingdoms, empires and tribes have left behind magnificent tools, tombs, walls, intricately detailed decorative patterns, palaces...etc. These landmarks were built under very difficult circumstances; when the machinery of today's building was absent. Manpower was the number one factor in building. From the majestic Egyptian pyramids to the breath-taking Indian Temples, a history of cunning and artistic design remain undiscovered; stories of passion for power and immortality of Pharoas and life-lessons in patriotism and determination of Chinese Emperors.
My personal favorite form of ancient art is that related to religion. The details that the Muslims so ingeniously implemented into their mosques or the ultimate care that the Christians used to carve into their statues and temples; the way the beautiful colors contrast against each other yet synchronize together is beyond compare.
These pictures show Italian churches
and mosques:
Whereas modern architecture focuses more on creative and unorthodox side. It challenges the traditional views on construction by building without symmetry or developing extremely high towers or even hiding visual tricks that go unnoticed at first. The most significant aspect of modern architecture is it's out-of-the-ordinary complexity and that is what makes people dwell over their creativity when they pass by them. It is also a reflection of the technological advancement and the perception of the world and living standards under the influence of the digital age.
and plenty more to be seen...
What about you? what do you prefer? I would love to read your opinions...

Nowadays, architectures are focusing on the outer appearance of towers and buildings because this is what people are concerned about "The View". A high percent of the population is performing plastic surgeries to improve their beauty and grab people's attention, thus this is the same case with towers and buildings. Despite what is the new trend, in my opinion ancient towers are much more interesting than modern ones .
